Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah.......Terra!

So why, exactly, did David Hahn and his minions pick the here and now to start spouting off about increased security, random searches, and early arrival requirements at BC Ferry terminals?

Has a heightened security alert been announced?
.....Apparently not.

Have there been bomb scares on nearby Washington State Ferries?
......No.

Have the new Transport Canada regulations been released?
......No, those are not due until the fall.

Has Colin Powell, who once said that our Ferry terminals were targets, suddenly been proven right (about anything)?
.....Quite the contrary.

So, why?

Why, exactly did Mr. Hahn suddenly start popping-up like a jack-in-the-box on every media outlet in town today to blather on and on and on about this terror/security thing, despite the fact that he could not give us any specifics about what the Corporation was actually going to do and when they are going to do it?

Well, it appears that maybe, just maybe, the answer can be found if you were to, as Keith Olbermann likes to say,

'Use the Google!'

Because if you were to do such a thing and punch B.C. Ferries into a news search you would find that the fear mongering with no real purpose at all now hogs the entire top of the page.

And what is relegated to the bottom, below the scroll, you might be wondering?

Why, that would be those now buried stories about that teeny, tiny little matter that actually really and truly affects all British Columbians - the egregious fare increases that Mr. Hahn's flack hacks announced earlier this week.

All of which makes one wonder.

Are we, and our local mainstream news media moguls, really that gullible?
