Tea Cosies All Round

Shorter Ian Mulgrew on the Great Railway Swindle: It's all about too much cosiness:

The trial was supposed to begin this morning (Apr 02) -- a day-late April Fool's joke, if you ask me. But it's been put off again.

The unprecedented raid on Dec. 28, 2003, sent shock waves through the provincial and federal political establishments because those involved were intimate with Liberal power-brokers and police statements alleged the involvement of organized crime.

All we have learned for sure since then is not that Tony Soprano has set up shop in Victoria, but that senior political appointees and lobbyists for government contracts are far too cosy...

I dunno.

Mr. M. makes some good points and he even manages to auto-generate a wee bit o' the outrage.

But still, he seems to have been drinking from the same well as Mr. Mason.

And I, for one, am not yet convinced that that particular source is taint-free.
