Why Does The Christy-Gord Government Only Seem To Act When...

....It Knows There Is An Auditor-General's Report About To Come Out?

To wit, a couple of days ago the following, from Chief Judge Thomas Crabtree, was splashed all over the 'news'...

It is my distinct pleasure and privilege to announce that the Lieutenant Governor in Council has signed nine Orders in Council appointing the following lawyers as judges of the Provincial Court of British Columbia: Ms. Andrea Gail Brownstone, Ms. Bonnie Craig, Mr. Roger Friendly Cutler, Ms. Kathryn Isobel Denhoff, Mr. William Franklin Melvin Jackson, Mr. Ronald George Lamperson, Ms. Jennifer Anne Oulton, Mr. Garth Norman Smith, and Mr. James Ian Scott Sutherland...

Ostensibly, this was done to 'reduce the backlog' in British Columbia courtrooms.

Which is all well and good, as far as it goes.

Except, today, we are told the following ...

Which means, of course, that the Campbell-Clark Government knew the latter was soon to be released.

So....

Based on past performance, is it far-fetched to suggest that the well-timed 'announcement' of more judges earlier this week by said government was actually a cynical attempt to innoculate themselves against the media storm that likely would have been much, much worse if the AG's report had been released on its own?

_____
The moral of the story...If you have something important that needs fixing in this province, and you don't have a paid lobbyist on the inside, the only way you are going to get any action on the matter from the C-G Gov't is to make a huge stink....Because, obviously, deeds and actions designed for the greater good (rather than just 'good' media coverage) mean nothing to these people...

Mr. K...J Doyle was on with Simi Sara today, and since the Mainstream media is no longer reporting stories, you know, like the fact that Mr. Butler is really a hapless clown and filed false affidavit..

John Doyle stated on air that the BC Government is misleading the public with funky not-allowed accounting practices and..

And last year`s deficit was actually over $500 million dollars higher than reported..

He wasn`t happy..

The segment was between either 1:00 to 1:30 pm or 1.30: to 2:00 pm

What accounting, we BC Liberals don`t need no stinkin accountant.

Cheers

On the bright side, Chipmunk Cheeks' latest Director or Communications might now have something to occupy his time . . . .
